Citadel Statement

De Citadel Statement is een actieplan om e-government bij steden en gemeenten te ondersteunen. De Citadel Statement werd voorgesteld op de 'Flemish Conference on local eGovernment' op 14 december 2010 in het ICC te Gent. Tijdens deze conferentie kwamen tal van experts hun visie geven over hoe lokaal e-government kan en moet versterkt worden. Het ‘Citadel Statement’ kreeg de steun van tal van organisaties en bedrijven die deze tekst een sterk beginpunt van een Europees beleid inzake gemeentelijk e-government vinden. Het Citadel Statement kent een vervolg in het Citadel...on the move project.

The Citadel Statement is an action plan to support cities and municipalities to implement eGovernment. The Citadel Statement was presented on the 'Flemish Conference on local eGovernment' on December 14th 2010 in Ghent, Belgium. During this conference several experts gave their vision on how local eGovernment can and must be reinforced. The 'Citadel Statement' got the support of numerous organisations who find this text a strong beginning point for a European policy concerning local eGovernment. The Citadel on the move project is carrying this action plan one step further by implementing the principles in practice.
