eGovernment in the other regions and communities

For the other regions there are specific eGovernment entities (Easi-Wal and CIBG). There are no specific entities for the other communities.

Walloon region: EASI-WAL

Easi-Wal is the central actor for Walloon eGovernment. The Easi-Wal project was started in June 2001 and is carried out under the auspices of the minister-president.

Easi-Wal aims to develop a unique Walloon e-office. This is organized on a thematic basis, particularly on the basis of the stages of the lives of people and businesses.

Centre for Information Technology for the Brussels Region (CIBG)

In the Brussels Capital Region the Centre for Information Technology for the Brussels Region (CIBG) is the central actor in eGovernment. The range of tasks of this institution covers the whole area of computerisation of the government.
In addition to eGovernment the CIBG is also responsible for the computerisation of the Brussels councils, the training and support of persons responsible for information technology, information technology projects, the development of the ICT and the website of the ministry. eGovernment is developed on the basis of a number of projects.

French language and German language community

As far as we know, there is no specific actor for eGovernment in these governments. Obviously this does not mean that simplification and electronic services are not topics for the activities of these governments.
