The Flemish integration projects 2008

This year again the competent minister launches Flemish Integration Projects. All projects which benefit companies and citizens by the use of shared data can receive financial support. Only condition? Using the MAGDA platform, authentic sources (VKBO, VKBP,..) or generic services (geGIS, …).

What are VIP projects?
The VIP programme ensures that projects which are of strategic importance to the business (i.e. the demand side) receive financial support, provided they subscribe to the eGovernment philosophy.
 The purpose of VIP projects is actually twofold:

  • To realise applications which make life easier for companies and citizens.

  • To support one’s own organisation in the development of advanced e-government projects which collect data only once and make optimal reuse of information.

Also for my administration?
All eGovernment projects that result into an added value for citizens and/or companies can apply for support. The added value consists of less administrative burden and a better service.

For the first time, we will be working on the basis of a focus.

Focus

For the first time, we will be working on the basis of a focus. The scope of your products requires:

  • Exchange of information between Flemish institutions by use of the MAGDA platform;
  • Realisation of connections on VKBO – VKBP (including the integration of MAGDA services in existing applications without MAGDA integration);
  • Integration of MAGDA services in the front  and back office of electronic forms. Afterwards, these forms also need to comply with the recommendations of the forms guideline and anysurfer;
  • Integration of geographic information from geographic sources via the MAGDA-GEGIS platform;
  • Projects that contribute to the automatic grant of benefits.

These requirements are assessed during the jury process.

What do I have to do?

How can you apply for support?

What needs to be done?
First of all you need to draw up a business case. With this business case (use the template), you define the importance of your project and the way you will realize it. This business case, which is the basis for every project, is important for the final financial support of your project.  You can download the template, together with the manual. The manual gives answers to all your questions and makes clear what we need to know. For the first time, this year, we will be working on the basis of a focus.

How to proceed?

First, you need
to define your project for yourself. Describe it. Make
sure to get the necessary support of your management. Get in touch with CORVE. Bruno De Vrieze or Lieven Raes can help you and give tips. Ask for feedback. Complete your file.
Deadline: 30 April 2008, by e-mail to Bruno De Vrieze.

Further procedure

CORVE adjudicates your project. This will take 3 phases, and CORVE gets support for it. The criteria are assessed by experts. Once the selection has been made, we will inform you as soon as possible, so that you can start with the realisation of your project.
